Suva Grammar School celebrated its Prefect Induction ceremony last Thursday, marking an important milestone in the academic year. Headgirl Anna Jikoibau and headboy Brendon Leo committed to lead the school with integrity, vowing to support their fellow students and teachers in their new roles.

During the ceremony, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro emphasized that true leadership transcends titles and badges. “Each of you has the capacity to lead through commitment to your studies, teamwork in sports, and kindness in your daily interactions,” he remarked, highlighting the various ways students can exhibit leadership qualities in their everyday lives.

Mr. Radrodro also recognized the essential support that parents and guardians provide in their children’s educational journey, describing it as a collaborative partnership between families and the school. This support is crucial in fostering responsible and capable young leaders.

The event saw the official badging of over 128 students as prefects, with proud parents, guardians, and members of the school community in attendance to witness this significant occasion. This ceremony not only marked the beginning of a new leadership chapter for the students but also reinforced the importance of community and collaboration in shaping future leaders.
