The highly anticipated two-hour finale of “Stranger Things” is set to debut on Netflix and select movie theaters on Wednesday, December 31. As fans eagerly await the culmination of the beloved series, it has been revealed that Millie Bobby Brown, who gained fame playing the telekinetic teen Eleven, will be absent from key promotional events surrounding the show’s concluding season.

Sources indicate that Millie Bobby Brown has not attended a private screening of the finale alongside her cast members due to a dislocated shoulder she sustained after a recent fall. Although she missed the private screening held at New York City’s Paris Theater on December 26, insiders report that she managed to participate remotely by watching the episode simultaneously with her castmates, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Sadie Sink.

The actress, who launched her own beauty line, Florence by Mills, opened up about her injury during an appearance on “Good Morning America,” during which she expressed disappointment in not being able to join her cast for the screening. “I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys. I took a fall,” she said, while wearing a sling.

In addition to missing the private screening, Millie also skipped an event at the Paley Center for Media in New York City, where many of her co-stars, including Joe Keery and Maya Hawke, were present to celebrate the series’ fifth and final season.

Reflecting on her journey with “Stranger Things,” Millie has expressed gratitude for the role that has defined much of her early career. In a March 2023 interview with Seventeen, she mentioned her eagerness to embark on new projects and express her creativity outside the scope of the series. “I’m ready to wrap up… this chapter of my life and open new ones up,” she stated, emphasizing her excitement to explore new storytelling opportunities.

As “Stranger Things” draws to a close, fans and cast alike are prepared for an emotional farewell to a series that has captivated audiences for almost a decade. Millie Bobby Brown may be experiencing some challenges now, but her commitment to the role and the joy of her experiences may pave the way for even more exciting ventures in the future.
