Team captain Laisa Seru emphasized the tournament’s role in player development, noting that many team members aged 16 and 17 were participating in their first significant sevens event. The opening round of matches included unexpected results, with Loloma Heights Women from Savusavu pulling off an upset by defeating Ezers Women 5-0. Tagimoucia Ranadi also made their presence felt, marking themselves as favorites with one win and one draw. Similarly, Kasabias Sinukalala stayed competitive with the same outcomes.
In the results from the first round, Loloma Heights triumphed over Ezers Women 5-0, while Lilian Amazons defeated Seahawks 17-12. Tagimoucia Ranadi ended in a 5-5 draw against Kasabias Sinukalala, and Kadavu Stallion decisively outperformed Vuna Sisters with a 24-0 victory. Round two saw Lilian Amazons edge past Ezers Women 12-10, Seahawks rebounding with a 15-5 win over Loloma Heights, Tagimoucia Ranadi defeating Kadavu Stallion 10-0, and Kasabias Sinukalala overwhelming Vuna Sisters with a 29-0 win.
