The latest Resident Evil Showcase has captivated fans old and new with exciting new gameplay from Resident Evil™ Requiem, set to release on February 27, 2026. The event showcased a collaboration with Porsche and watchmaker Hamilton, along with the game’s availability on GeForce NOW and the integration of NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 and path-tracing technology.

Resident Evil Requiem introduces players to dual protagonists, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and legendary DSO agent Leon Kennedy, who navigate a gripping combination of action and survival horror. Both characters will be playable in first-person and third-person perspectives, allowing for a versatile gameplay experience.

Leon, skilled in combat, investigates a string of mysterious deaths and employs a range of weaponry, including a new hatchet for close-quarters battles. Players will need to master timing to execute parries, utilize enemies’ weapons against them, and perform thrilling finishing moves. Grace Ashcroft, on the other hand, starts her tale in a zombie-infested sanatorium, where she must make tough decisions regarding resource management while equipped with a device for crafting critical items from infected blood. Grace’s custom revolver, aptly named the Requiem assault revolver, serves as a potent last resort, pushing players to strategize their ammo use wisely.

Uniquely, the zombies within Resident Evil Requiem exhibit unsettling behaviors reminiscent of their lives before death, offering opportunities for players to exploit their actions for survival. The term “Elpis” serves as a linchpin in the storyline, connecting the mysteries surrounding Grace’s mother and her own past with Leon’s narrative.

A range of difficulty settings will cater to various player preferences, from a more casual experience to a classic mode that heightens tension and challenges resource management.

Among the notable collaborations revealed is a stunning watch collection from Hamilton designed to mirror the timepieces worn by Grace and Leon in the game. Alongside this, a custom Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has been created, showcasing advanced 3D printing technology and symbolizing the performance theme inherent in the game.

The showcase also revealed the release of 1/6 scale figures of the protagonists, set for this fall, and an orchestral celebration of Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary, featuring special performances in Japan, North America, and Europe.

Resident Evil Requiem will offer both Standard and Deluxe editions, the latter including exclusive costumes and weapon skins. Pre-orders are now available, with early purchasers receiving Grace’s “Apocalypse” costume. Additionally, both Resident Evil™ 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil™ Village Gold Edition will debut on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Requiem, enhancing this beloved series’ accessibility.

Fans looking to flaunt their Resident Evil pride can look forward to unique items in Fortnite and the Resident Evil-themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, designed to celebrate the game’s launch. Grace will also be introduced as the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo expected to release in Summer 2026.

The showcase promises even more thrilling announcements leading up to the launch of Resident Evil Requiem, ensuring an exhilarating experience for horror aficionados.
