Real Housewives of Rhode Island: Husband’s Charges Dropped in Domestic Incident

The criminal charges against Brian Pontarelli, the husband of a cast member from “Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” have been dropped. In early October, Rhode Island State Police accused Pontarelli of placing a tracking device in the car of his wife, Rulla Pontarelli. According to reports, Rulla believed she was being monitored and subsequently discovered a device hidden in her vehicle.

Brian Pontarelli, who practices as a podiatrist in North Providence and operates a medical spa, faced misdemeanor charges under the state’s domestic violence laws. However, court records indicate that the case was dismissed during a pretrial conference on Monday.

His lawyer, William Murphy, commented that Dr. Pontarelli is relieved the case is behind him. Following the incident, a no-contact order initially filed by Rulla was lifted weeks ago, signaling a resolution between the couple. Murphy added that they are both doing well and referred to the situation as an unfortunate incident.

This development comes as “Real Housewives of Rhode Island” prepares for its debut in 2026, with filming having concluded prior to these allegations. The case’s dismissal allows both Pontarellis to move forward, potentially paving the way for their personal and public lives to stabilize amidst the realities of life in the spotlight.
