Punja's Unveils Bhujia Mix to Celebrate 90-Year Milestone and Fiji-Pacific Expansion

Punja’s Bhujia Mix Debuts, Powering Fiji’s Pacific Snack Growth

Punja’s has proudly launched its new Bhujia Mix Range, marking a significant milestone as the company celebrates 90 years in the snack sector and its influential role in Fiji’s commercial landscape. The launch event, attended by players from the Fijian Drua and Fijiana Drua, underscores the company’s dedication to diversification and enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.

Managing Director Rajesh Punja highlighted the importance of this new product line, indicating that it represents the company’s rich heritage while reinforcing its commitment to the Fijian economy. He stated, “Every pack reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and local pride — and this new venture alone will create 50 new jobs for our people.” By fusing traditional recipes with modern production techniques, the Bhujia Mix Range aims to bring the unique flavors of Fiji into homes throughout the Pacific.

This launch is part of Punja’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the Pacific market, further supported by the recent construction of a $55 million distribution center in Lautoka, which is set to be the largest warehouse in the region. Such investments are pivotal not only for the company’s growth trajectory but also for strengthening local economic infrastructure, addressing the rising demand for various consumer products.

Employing over 1,500 people, Punja’s robust operational structure reflects its commitment to nurturing local talent and supporting suppliers. Recent projects, including a $2.25 million expansion of the Punjas Medical Centre and improvements to the Punjas Children’s Park, further emphasize the company’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for the people of Fiji.

As Punja’s continues to innovate and adapt to market changes, its focus on job creation and community involvement fosters a sense of optimism for the future. This expansion not only cements the company’s legacy in Fiji but also opens doors for economic growth and improved living standards across Fiji and the broader Pacific region.
