Minister Sashi Kiran recently delivered catering supplies to YADRA Enterprises, an organization dedicated to aiding vulnerable street youths by providing care, skills training, and pathways to employment.
This handover event showcased the positive impact of rehabilitation efforts, with former street dwellers now successfully contributing to the workforce in Nadi while also mentoring other at-risk youths. YADRA, founded by Selita Saula, runs a small roadside food business that not only helps tackle basic living costs but also imparts essential lessons in discipline, responsibility, and fundamental business skills. The organization’s recent formal registration has enabled it to seek additional funding and enhance its structured support systems.
Minister Kiran praised Saula’s dedication, emphasizing that grassroots initiatives are vital to safeguarding vulnerable young people and enhancing community safety. The Ministry remains committed to collaborating with community partners who are effecting positive changes in the lives of Fiji’s children and youth.
