The historic 16th-century pub closed its doors on Sunday, November 23, to accommodate further filming for MobLand, and is set to reopen on Wednesday, November 26. This stunning venue has quickly become part of the series’ visual identity, highlighted by a recent mention from Amanda Holden. While discussing her visit to the pub on Heart Radio, she noted the bustling atmosphere created by camera crews and lighting during the filming of MobLand, expressing her admiration for the Falkland Arms.
The pub confirmed the filming via a social media post, thanking Amanda for her shoutout. Interestingly, the Falkland Arms had already been featured in the show earlier this year, when Pierce Brosnan’s character, Conrad Harrigan, remarked on changing the location to the pub, stating, “They serve a nice pint there.”
As MobLand continues to gain traction, the production team has implemented temporary road closures in the Great Tew area to ensure the safety of participants and the public during filming. Oxfordshire County Council issued a traffic notice for these closures to enhance safety and minimize disruptions.
The series continues to be a hit, recently announced as the second most-streamed original show on Paramount+. With the second season in the works, fans are eagerly anticipating which stars from the all-star cast, including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, and Toby Jones, will reprise their roles.
