Miley Cyrus is set to reflect on her early beginnings in a special celebration marking the 20th anniversary of “Hannah Montana.” Disney announced on Monday that this commemorative event will premiere on Disney+ on March 24, paying tribute to the beloved series that resonated with fans around the world since its debut on Disney Channel.

Cyrus, who played the title role, will participate in a live studio audience event featuring an exclusive interview with Alex Cooper, host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. The discussion will delve into the character’s creation and the enduring influence of both the series and Cyrus on fans across generations.

During the special, Cyrus will revisit memorable moments and music from the show, bringing back iconic sets such as the Hannah Montana closet and the Stewart family living room. Fans can expect to see never-before-seen archival footage, adding a nostalgic touch to this unique experience.

“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus expressed in a heartfelt statement. “What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, emphasized the impact of “Hannah Montana,” noting its role in inspiring fans to embrace their dreams. “Partnering with Miley on this special is a dream, and we want it to be a love letter to the fans,” Davis remarked.

In addition to the anniversary special, Disney+ will feature a Hannah Montana Collection, allowing viewers to stream all four seasons of the show, along with “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert.”

Originally premiering two decades ago, the series captured the spirit of a teenager balancing her dual identity as a normal girl and a pop star, ultimately launching Cyrus’s successful career. Co-starring alongside her father Billy Ray Cyrus and notable names like Emily Osment and Jason Earles, “Hannah Montana” saw a plethora of guest appearances from stars including Dolly Parton and the Jonas Brothers.
