Despite the buzz, Moroney maintains that she won’t alter her songwriting to quell speculation. “I never let the possibility that people might speculate who [a song] is about stop me from writing about how this situation made me feel,” she stated. Although many assume “Tennessee Orange” is connected to Wallen, she has never explicitly confirmed the link. Interestingly, she previously shared that a University of Tennessee shirt featured in a promo photo for the song belonged to him, which only intensified the rumors.
