Next week, on March 10, known as MAR10 Day, Nintendo is set to delight fans with the addition of three retro games to its Nintendo Switch Online service. This annual celebration of the iconic Mario franchise is expected to feature some exciting offerings for players.

The games being introduced are Mario’s Tennis and Mario Clash, both of which will be available through the newly launched Virtual Boy app, and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong for the Game Boy Advance. It’s important to note that these titles are accessible only to subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership plan.

Originally released in 1995, Mario Clash reimagines the classic arcade game Mario Bros. in a 3D format, while Mario’s Tennis marks the franchise’s debut entry into the tennis genre, making it a fitting addition alongside Mario Tennis Fever, which was released on Switch 2 recently. With these new additions, the Virtual Boy NSO library will continue to grow, previously including titles like 3D Tetris and Virtual Boy Wario Land, among others.

On the other hand, the inclusion of Mario Vs. Donkey Kong for the GBA is an unexpected yet welcome surprise. While Nintendo had previously remade this beloved puzzle-platformer for the Switch, offering the original on the console provides a nostalgic touch for fans. However, some players may still hope for the introduction of additional classic titles from the Game Boy Advance collection, such as Mario Tennis: Power Tour.

All three games will become available to play on March 10, allowing fans to celebrate MAR10 Day with some classic Mario fun.
