Following growing concerns about the leadership structure within the Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL), the organization has officially reaffirmed Apenisa Dansey as its Chairman.
In a press release, the FNRL stated, “Mr. Dansey’s appointment is fully endorsed and recognized by the FNRL. He is the sole authorized chairman acting on behalf of the organization.” This reaffirmation aims to solidify Dansey’s role and eliminate any ambiguity regarding his position.
The statement further clarified that any official business dealings, correspondence, and representations related to the FNRL require direct approval from Chairman Dansey through the organization’s formal communication channels. The FNRL made it clear that any third-party engagements, claims, or negotiations that take place without the Chairman’s consent will be regarded as null and void, meaning they will not be acknowledged by the organization.
Additionally, the FNRL encouraged all stakeholders and the public to verify information concerning the organization through its official channels to prevent the spread of misinformation. This effort underscores the FNRL’s commitment to transparency and clear communication as it navigates its leadership in a challenging landscape.
Dansey’s leadership is expected to bring stability to the organization, fostering a positive environment for the development of rugby league in Fiji.
