Lautoka’s Sterling Vasconcellos has taken a significant step in his football career by officially signing with Bula FC, Fiji’s first professional football club, as the OFC Pro League season approaches. A talented player from Lautoka, Vasconcellos’s football journey began at Dreketi Sangam Primary School and continued through the Lautoka youth system, where he demonstrated his skills while playing for the Lautoka Blues at competitive age levels from U10 to U19.

At only 17, Vasconcellos made his mark by breaking into the Lautoka senior team and gained valuable experience by representing Fiji in various age-grade competitions. His career progressed when he obtained a one-year contract with Eastern Suburbs in New Zealand, which significantly expanded his exposure and experience in international football.

Now, at 20, Vasconcellos has expressed his gratitude for the chance to sign a professional contract with Bula FC, stating, “It’s a blessing; I have been praying for this chance, and I hope everything goes well for me.” His passion and commitment bode well for both his future and that of his new club.
