Texas A&M football is experiencing significant roster changes following their recent 10-3 loss to Miami in the College Football Playoff. One of the most notable departures is star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft just 48 hours after the defeat.

Despite his high-profile exit, Concepcion has opted not to enter the College Football Transfer Portal again. Instead, he confirmed his decision to pursue professional football on Monday, a move reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals.

Concepcion wrapped up his brief tenure with the Aggies after a standout season that followed his transfer from North Carolina State. Over the course of the season, he registered an impressive 124 receptions, accumulating 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns.

In addition to Concepcion, defensive back Will Lee III has also declared for the draft, signaling a shift in the Aggies’ roster as they navigate the aftermath of their playoff performance. Concepcion quickly established himself as a key player for head coach Mike Elko and quarterback Marcel Reed, becoming a favorite among fans.

Throughout the season, Concepcion showcased his skills, highlighted by a season-opening game against Texas-San Antonio where he caught three passes for 72 yards, averaging an impressive 24 yards per catch. He continued to build on this performance, notably scoring twice against Utah State and making waves in a standout game against Notre Dame, averaging 20.5 yards per reception.

His most memorable outing came against Auburn, where he recorded seven catches for 113 yards, contributing significantly to his team’s narrow victory. He also delivered a phenomenal 158-yard performance against South Carolina on November 15. Though his last game against Miami didn’t reflect his talents—limited to just four catches for 33 yards—his abilities, particularly his run-after-catch prowess and quick releases, are expected to generate interest in the upcoming draft.

As Concepcion prepares for the NFL, fans and scouts alike will be keenly watching his progress, eager to see how his skills translate to the professional level.
