Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming television series, The Madison, is set to debut on March 14 on Paramount+. This highly anticipated show features star power including Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, and will roll out new episodes weekly throughout its six-episode first season. Interestingly, Sheridan’s team has already completed filming a second season, a notable deviation from typical production schedules.

Initially marketed as a spinoff of the hit series Yellowstone, recent communications from Paramount+ have not clarified any connection between the two shows, leading to speculation about their relationship.

According to reports, much of The Madison was filmed in North Texas, where Dallas famously stood in for New York City. The production transformed local streets, such as Main and Ervay, to incorporate NYC taxi cabs and even an NYPD patrol car into the scenes. Additionally, Fort Worth played host to a shoot meant to replicate the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and scenes were captured in Denton as well.

The Madison follows a family’s transition from the hustle and bustle of New York City to the tranquility of Montana. Alongside Pfeiffer and Russell, the cast includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Matthew Fox, promising a diverse array of talent.

North Texas continues to serve as a significant backdrop for Sheridan’s projects. Previously, the Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch filmed scenes at KPMG Plaza at Hall Arts in Dallas, doubling as downtown Chicago, while his show Landman also shot various sequences across the region. As The Madison gears up for its premiere, the excitement surrounding its unique filming locations and stellar cast is palpable, potentially setting the stage for another successful entry in Sheridan’s artistic repertoire.
