New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh has completed his coaching staff by hiring Brian Callahan as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator. This move comes after Callahan’s brief tenure as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, where he was dismissed midway through the 2025 season after a challenging record of 4-19.
Callahan’s coaching journey includes significant experience with various NFL teams. He served as quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions and the Oakland Raiders before taking on the role of non-play calling offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2019 to 2023. During his time in these roles, Callahan had the opportunity to work with standout quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning with the Denver Broncos, Matthew Stafford with the Lions, Derek Carr with the Raiders, and Joe Burrow with the Bengals.
The dynamic within the Giants’ staff is notable, as Callahan, once the head coach of the Titans, now joins forces with a revamped coaching team that includes offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and senior offensive assistant Greg Roman. This collaboration aims to bolster the performance of second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart.
With an experienced coaching lineup by Dart’s side, the Giants are positioning themselves for a promising season ahead, seeking to leverage Callahan’s insights to improve their passing game strategy.
