The Fiji High Commission is taking significant steps to strengthen its collaboration with Fiji Airways in Auckland, aiming to enhance airport operations and travel arrangements for both Fijian officials and travelers. High Commissioner Ratu Inoke Kubuabola led a delegation from Wellington for a courtesy visit to the Fiji Airways Auckland Office, where fruitful discussions took place with Alex Uren and his team, as well as members from Fiji’s Trade Team in the city.
The primary focus of these discussions was to improve coordination for official delegations and Fijian nationals traveling through Auckland. Enhancing operational communication was a key topic, with the aim of ensuring a seamless experience for passengers, providing timely support, and increasing efficiency during high-demand travel seasons.

In addition, the High Commission provided updates on the Government’s plans to establish a Fiji Consulate in Auckland. This initiative is designed to enhance consular services and engage more effectively with the Fijian community residing in northern New Zealand.
