As the Golden Globe Awards approach, anticipation surrounds the seating arrangements at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, particularly for actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The recently revealed seating chart has fans buzzing, especially with DiCaprio set to sit next to singer Miley Cyrus, who has been vocal in the past about her interactions with him.

Their seating arrangement will undoubtedly draw attention, as it follows a moment from 2015 when Cyrus, in an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, criticized DiCaprio for not sharing his vape pen at a party. She shared her thoughts on the importance of etiquette, stating, “You need to pass that s***, Leo,” while recounting her experience of watching him enjoy his vape from a distance.

Interestingly, DiCaprio will also be flanked by comedian Marlon Wayans on his other side, providing a potential buffer should he prefer to steer clear of conversation with Cyrus. Cyrus has made waves recently with a Best Original Song nomination for “Dream As One,” the piece she co-wrote and performed for the upcoming Avatar sequel, while DiCaprio is nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in the satirical film One Battle After Another.

This year’s awards come at an interesting time for DiCaprio, who recently had to forgo an honor at the Palm Springs International Film Festival due to travel restrictions linked to military actions in Venezuela. A planned trip to the festival was derailed when U.S. airstrikes disrupted Caribbean air travel following the abduction of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. Despite missing the ceremony, DiCaprio accepted the Desert Palm Achievement Award virtually, and his speech reportedly resonated well with attendees.

As Hollywood gears up for the Golden Globes, the table dynamics and DiCaprio’s notable absence from recent events only add to the intrigue surrounding the actor during this awards season.
