DAZN Arrives on Prime Video as an Add-On in US and UK

DAZN, a popular sports streaming service that features a wide range of sports including MMA and golf, has expanded its availability by launching as an add-on subscription through Amazon Prime Video in both the US and UK. Previously, DAZN services were limited to several countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Canada.

To access DAZN, users will need to pay an additional monthly fee of $30 on top of their existing Prime Video subscription, which costs $9 for a standalone plan or is included with Amazon Prime. DAZN subscribers can enjoy an extensive lineup of live sports, boasting “more than 185 fight nights per year” along with “over 300 live soccer games from Italy’s Lega Serie A,” as detailed by Amazon.

Although this add-on subscription incurs extra costs, it significantly enhances the sports offerings on Prime Video, which already includes popular events such as Thursday Night Football, select NBA games, the NASCAR Cup Series, and the upcoming 2026 Masters golf tournament at no extra charge.

The competition for live sports content is intensifying, with many streaming platforms vying for subscribers. Amazon has made strategic decisions to enhance its offerings, while platforms like YouTube TV provide options such as NFL Sunday Ticket, and Apple successfully secures rights for MLS and Formula 1 racing. This new partnership reflects the growing importance of live sports in attracting and retaining subscribers within the ever-evolving landscape of video streaming services.
