Curt Menefee, a prominent figure in Fox Sports, has announced that he will not return to his role as a morning show host on “Good Day New York” in 2026. However, he will continue to be a familiar face on Fox NFL Sunday, a position he has held since 2007.

Menefee has been co-hosting “Good Day New York” alongside Rosanna Scotto since 2024, and he is set to wrap up his tenure on December 19. During his farewell announcement, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception from viewers and praised the show’s staff, acknowledging the wonderful experiences he has had during his time there. He fondly highlighted the close, brother-sister-like relationship he shares with Scotto.

Reflecting on his decision, Menefee remarked, “It’s one of those things that has been a great time — you have been welcoming,” while joking about the adjustment of transitioning careers. He also shared personal insights about his life, noting that he only sees his wife, Viollette, who lives in Los Angeles, for about 20 hours a week. “It’s the life I’ve chosen, so I’m not complaining,” he stated, indicating a need for balance in his professional and personal life.

In a lighthearted moment, Scotto expressed her discontent over Menefee leaving, humorously stating she had hidden the keys to his California home, to which Menefee replied with a laugh, making a playful comment about the situation.

While Menefee will miss the vibrant environment of New York, he reassured fans that he will still keep them entertained through football coverage and upcoming events such as the 2026 Belmont Stakes horseracing event. Since joining the Fox Sports family in 1997, Menefee has built a diverse career that includes roles as a sideline reporter and play-by-play announcer, showcasing his talent across sports including Champions League finals, UFC, and boxing.

As he prepares for this new chapter, fans and colleagues can look forward to his continued contributions to sports media through his steadfast presence at Fox.
