This wintery backdrop sets the stage for an array of spectacular fireworks displays across the state, offering residents and visitors alike a memorable welcome to the new year.
In Denver, the annual New Year’s Eve celebrations will illuminate the night sky with two large fireworks shows, taking place at 9 p.m. and midnight. The display can be viewed from downtown areas such as near the Sheraton Hotel and Curtis Street, marking it as one of the largest fireworks shows in Colorado. Rooftop terraces at local businesses will provide stunning vantage points, though many spots require reservations.
Nearby Colorado Springs will feature the historic AdAmAn Club’s fireworks show atop Pikes Peak, also scheduled for 9 p.m. and midnight. This 100-year-old tradition shines brightly across the Pikes Peak region, depending on weather conditions. Although a VIP viewing experience has sold out, general viewing remains accessible.
Aspen is set to enchant revelers with its own vibrant celebrations. The city’s fireworks display is slated for 8 p.m. on Dec. 31, accompanied by free public skating at the Aspen Ice Garden earlier in the day. Attendees are encouraged to don festive attire to enhance the celebratory atmosphere.
Breckenridge is recognized as a top winter vacation destination, and the town will celebrate with a mesmerizing Torch Run Parade. Starting at 6 p.m., red flares will illuminate the mountainside, while the accompanying fireworks show begins at 9 p.m., best enjoyed from strategic spots like Blue River Plaza and North Gondola parking lot.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort will also embrace tradition with a Torchlight Parade followed immediately by fireworks at approximately 5:30 p.m. This popular ski resort has established itself as a favorite for New Year’s Eve festivities.
Additionally, Granby Ranch’s celebration will combine a fireworks show with a mountain light parade. With a Kids Ski Parade featuring glow sticks and festive gear, the fun will commence at 3 p.m., culminating in fireworks at 8 p.m.
For those in the Grand Lake area, a dazzling fireworks show will follow a performance by the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, beginning at 9 p.m. Meanwhile, Powderhorn Mountain Resort will host its annual NYE celebration, complete with a torchlight parade and live music, starting at 4 p.m. The fireworks will light up the night sky around 6 p.m.
Steamboat Springs will kick off its festivities early with a dance party at 4:30 p.m., followed by a Snow Cat parade and a torchlight display leading to a grand fireworks finale. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for optimal viewing.
While Telluride may remain closed due to an ongoing labor dispute by New Year’s Eve, the other locations across the state promise an exciting conclusion to the year and a hopeful start to 2026, showcasing the vibrant spirit and community joy that Colorado has to offer during this festive time.
