Philippine Airlines is set to launch a new twice-weekly service connecting Palau and Manila, starting March 29. This initiative aims to enhance international access and strengthen travel links for both residents and visitors, as well as the Palauan diaspora living abroad.

According to Efren Adrian Llanos from the airline’s Sales Department, the flights will be operated on a scheduled basis and will be available for online booking. This new route will link Palau to Philippine Airlines’ extensive global network, which includes over 40 destinations across Asia, North America, and Europe. Key long-haul hubs served by Philippine Airlines include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Honolulu, and Toronto. Additionally, the airline provides extensive regional access to major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore.

The introduction of this service is expected to significantly benefit many Palauans living in the United States, particularly on the West Coast, as it will provide a direct travel option from major U.S. gateway cities to Manila and onward to Palau. With the addition of Philippine Airlines’ two weekly flights, along with the existing service from United Airlines, the total number of direct flights between Palau and the Philippines will increase from two to four per week, enhancing connectivity for travelers.

This expanded service is not only a testament to the growing demand for travel links but also a positive development for the Palauan community, making travel more accessible and fostering greater ties between Palau and the Philippines.
