The Southland Broncos, the reigning champions of the BRED Bank Youth Division, are set to make a triumphant return to the 2026 McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s in Sigatoka, where they aim to defend the title they earned on home soil. Hailing from Naevuevu Village in Cuvu, Nadroga, the Broncos captured the attention and hearts of fans with their disciplined plays, raw talent, and undying village pride, elevating them to Youth champions and establishing a benchmark for grassroots rugby excellence.
Their participation as defending champions brings an extra layer of excitement and credibility to the Youth Division, which plays a critical role in scouting and nurturing Fiji’s upcoming rugby talent. Team Manager Josh Ratukuna expressed the team’s honor and pride in returning to defend their crown, highlighting the significance of the tournament for their village and its young athletes.
