Brad Wentz: A Life of Family, Adventure, and a Classic Corvette

Robert Bradley Wentz, known as “Brad,” peacefully passed away at the age of 71 on November 26, 2025, at Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 23, 1954, in Ontario, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert and Marge Wentz. After graduating from Ontario High School, Brad briefly attended Ohio State University in Mansfield before dedicating 42 years to a career at Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Colleagues admired him for his kindness, dedication, and integrity.

In his personal life, Brad cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed vacations with his beloved wife, Sandi, and had a passion for restoring his classic 1974 Stingray Corvette. He also shared special moments with his children, Chris and Mandy, including memorable outings that Sandi may not have fully endorsed, such as attending Alice Cooper concerts and allowing Mandy to navigate Columbus traffic with only a learner’s permit.

Following the loss of Sandi, Brad found love again in a new chapter of his life. Guided by friends Maggie and J. Barnett, Brad met Pam Lewis, and the couple quickly bonded over their shared love for adventure. Together, they traveled extensively, from day trips across Ohio to a remarkable month-long journey along the West Coast. Their final trip together included a land and cruise tour in Alaska and the Yukon, where they hired a pilot to catch a glimpse of bears at Lake Clark National Park. In their downtime, they delighted in watching their grandchildren play sports, bird watching, and feeding wildlife. They also spent winter months enjoying the sun in Bradenton, Florida.

Brad was preceded in death by his wife, Sandi, and his granddaughter, Hannah Glauer. He is survived by his loving fiancée, Pam Lewis; his children, Chris Wentz and Amanda Leclerc; grandchildren Colton Foley, Dylan, and Elaina Glauer; great-grandchildren Niko and Rocco Foley; brother Greg Wentz and sister Jodi St Jean. He also leaves behind numerous cherished friends and extended family members who will deeply miss him.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Brad’s life during calling hours at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario on December 10, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association in Brad’s memory. Words of condolence can be shared at the funeral home’s website.
