Bath & Body Works Teases 14th Candle Day with $9.95 Three-Wick Candles and a Pickle-Scented Surprise

Bath & Body Works is set to celebrate the return of its annual Candle Day sale, a much-anticipated event among fragrance enthusiasts and holiday shoppers. This year marks the 14th iteration of the sale, which will kick off online on December 4 at 10 p.m. ET and transition to in-store sales from December 5 to 7, with store openings at 6 a.m. During this event, customers can purchase all three-wick candles for just $9.95 each, significantly discounted from their regular prices ranging from $26.95 to $29.95.

The sale will feature over 180 candle scents, including a whimsical new addition: the limited-edition Holiday Dill-light, a pickle-scented candle. Well-loved classics such as Vanilla Bean Noel, Twisted Peppermint, and Winter Candy Apple will also make an appearance, alongside newer options like Butterscotch Swirl and Christmas Road Trip. Moreover, some popular scents are making a comeback, including Smoked Vanilla and Vanilla Snowflake.

However, shoppers should be mindful that the purchasing limit is capped at 24 candles per transaction. Historically, certain scents sell out on the event’s second day, so eager customers are encouraged to act quickly to secure their favorites.

“Candle Day is a cherished tradition that our customers count down to every year,” stated Betsy Schumacher, chief merchandising officer at Bath & Body Works. She emphasized the event’s significance in delivering high-quality candles infused with innovative fragrances while introducing exclusive surprises intended to meet customer desires.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Bath & Body Works has launched a holiday fragrance campaign that revitalizes the scent landscape of New York City’s Grand Central Terminal with enticing aromas of vanilla and fresh pine. This campaign features the signature scents of Fresh Balsam, Snowflakes & Cashmere, and Twisted Peppermint, which spread holiday cheer in busy hubs, including 46 prominent malls and select train stations across the country.

In an innovative marketing approach, Bath & Body Works will offer “scent-igrations” in select theaters in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, where moviegoers will be treated to the aroma of Fresh Balsam while enjoying the brand’s holiday advertisements.

Jamie Sohosky, chief marketing officer, expressed excitement about enhancing the holiday spirit through new experiences, aiming to create joyous moments that intertwine the magic of Bath & Body Works into the daily lives of consumers.

The Candle Day sale and accompanying campaign highlight Bath & Body Works’ commitment to bringing festive scents to the forefront, ensuring that this holiday season is filled with warmth and cheer through delightful fragrances.
