WWE 2K26 is set to bring back “The Island” mode, originally introduced in WWE 2K25, with an exciting new narrative that builds on last year’s storyline. According to sources familiar with the game, this upcoming installment will feature a chaotic power struggle among three factions on the newly dubbed Island of Relevancy, triggered by the departure of Roman Reigns from his role as the Tribal Chief. One of the key factions is anticipated to be named the Order of Anarchy.
Previously, “The Island” was exclusively available on next-gen consoles such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. There remains some uncertainty regarding its availability on PC for this new edition. Notably, “The Island” provided players with unique cosmetics, wrestlers, and additional content throughout the previous year, paving the way for fresh experiences in the upcoming game.
Details about WWE 2K26’s features will be unveiled at a later date, as select creators have been invited to participate in an annual preview event. Fans can expect updates and insights from these creators around mid-February.
WWE 2K26 is projected to launch in March, with expectations for the introduction of at least four new match types along with various innovations. As the release approaches, excitement continues to build around the forthcoming content and gameplay.
This revival of “The Island” mode indicates WWE 2K26’s commitment to enhancing player engagement with its story-driven gameplay, providing WWE enthusiasts with even more thrilling experiences in the ring.
