Winter weather conditions have caused several school districts in the area to implement two-hour delays on Tuesday, January 27, due to anticipated icy road conditions.
The Bristol Borough School District has announced a two-hour delay to ensure the safety of its students during the early morning hours. Similarly, the Bristol Township School District has also opted for a delayed schedule after consulting with advisors and stakeholders. Students should adjust their morning bus arrival times by two hours. Start times are set as follows: High School students will begin at 9:13 a.m., Middle School at 10:00 a.m., and Elementary at 11:20 a.m. Additionally, KidTime will operate under the same two-hour delay.
Bucks County Technical High School will have an asynchronous learning day on both Tuesday and Wednesday due to the SkillsUSA competition, allowing students to continue their education from home.
In the Neshaminy School District, all schools will open on a two-hour delayed schedule as well, while the Pennsbury School District also announces a two-hour delay, expressing gratitude to their maintenance teams for ensuring safety by clearing snow and treating walkways.
As temperatures are expected to drop further tonight, community members are reminded to be mindful of potentially icy spots. The adjusted school start times for Pennsbury are as follows: Pennsbury High School at 10:15 a.m., Middle Schools at 9:35 a.m., and Elementary Schools at 11:00 a.m.
