Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, has announced significant changes to its men’s basketball game against East Tennessee State, originally scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 p.m., due to adverse winter weather conditions. The college has opted to close its campus to the public to ensure the safety and well-being of its community. Consequently, attendance at the game will be restricted to students and staff currently on campus. Those attending will need to enter through the main front doors, and amenities such as Club 51 and concessions will not be available during the event.
Fans who have already purchased single-game tickets can contact the ticket office for options to attend a future game. Despite the changes in attendance, the game will still be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network and will be available through the Wofford Digital Radio Network.
In other news, the Wofford College Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 21, at 11:00 a.m. Additionally, changes have been made to women’s tennis matches; the bout at Charleston Southern has been moved to Friday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m., while the match against Coastal Carolina, previously set for February 1, will now take place on Sunday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m.
The women’s basketball game on Friday, January 30, against Furman is set to proceed as planned and can be viewed on ESPN+. These adjustments highlight the college’s commitment to safety while ensuring that athletic events continue to engage the community.
