Winona Ryder is set to join the cast of Netflix’s popular series Wednesday in a guest role as Tabitha for the upcoming third season, which is currently in production. This exciting move marks a reunion for Ryder with her Beetlejuice co-star Jenna Ortega and director Tim Burton, who expressed enthusiasm about her inclusion in the series, stating, “I am so happy that Winona has joined us, she fits right into this world.”

Following the conclusion of her role in Stranger Things, Ryder will be joined by a host of new cast members, including Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer. Notably, Eva Green will portray Morticia Addams’ estranged sister, Ophelia, enhancing the storyline’s complexity and depth.

Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar shared their excitement as production ramps up, noting, “It’s our dark delight to fling open Nevermore Academy’s gates once more.” They expressed gratitude to the cast and crew for their steadfast dedication to the show’s eerie charm, while also appreciating fans for their fervent theories and commentary that have fueled the show’s development.

The previous season of Wednesday, which debuted in August 2025, saw a variety of guest appearances, featuring the likes of Lady Gaga and Christopher Lloyd. In addition to Ortega returning as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will reprise their roles as Morticia and Gomez Addams, respectively. Burton remarked on his anticipation, saying, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast.” The addition of Ryder, Green, Sarandon, and Taylor is expected to lend a unique and nostalgic flavor to this new season, making it particularly special.

As the series continues to evolve, fans can look forward to exploring new layers of the Addams Family lore while enjoying the familiar, darkly whimsical atmosphere that has captured viewers’ hearts.
