Will Sanders Get a Shot as Browns Face Ravens in Week 11?

As the Cleveland Browns grapple with their second consecutive loss in Week 10, Shedeur Sanders watches closely from the sidelines. The team now holds a disappointing 2-7 record for the 2025 NFL season following a 27-20 defeat against Justin Fields and the New York Jets. Looking ahead, the Browns will return home to take on their rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, in Week 11.

The absence of quarterback Deshaun Watson, who is recovering from an Achilles injury, has left the Browns struggling for stability at the quarterback position. Joe Flacco started the season as the main signal-caller, but after being traded to the Cincinnati Bengals, rookie Dillon Gabriel stepped in to fill the gap. However, Gabriel’s tenure has been lackluster; he has secured just one victory out of five games, a win against the Miami Dolphins. Over that stretch, he has completed 102 of 174 passes for 869 yards, with seven touchdowns and two interceptions.

As Cleveland continues to face challenges, fan frustration has begun to grow, prompting calls for Sanders to be given a chance. Many expected Sanders, who was once projected to be a top-10 pick, to have a more prominent role after the Browns selected him in the fifth round. Although he showcased his talents during preseason, he has yet to take significant snaps during the regular season and remains Gabriel’s backup.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski recently confirmed that Sanders is still not receiving first-team reps in practice, implying the team intends to stick with Gabriel for the immediate future. Despite not seeing substantial action, Stefanski acknowledged Sanders’ hard work and development in practice.

The Browns will challenge the Ravens on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, which will be aired on CBS in select markets. Fans are encouraged to check their local listings for details on availability.

This season has been filled with ups and downs for the Browns, and amidst the struggles, there exists some hope for improvement as they look to rally against a formidable opponent in the Ravens.
