Who Will Seal Fiji’s 2025 NCC Finals Berth? Zonal Showdowns Begin

Twelve teams are gearing up for the 2025 Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship (NCC) zonal competition as they race for a coveted spot in the national finals scheduled for next month. As the competition intensifies, each zone is preparing for an exhilarating series of matchups.

In the Northern Division, defending champions Northpole FC from Labasa will clash with Taveuni’s Legends FC in a decisive playoff, taking place on December 6 at Bocalevu Primary School. The winner of this match will secure the sole representative spot from the North in the NCC final stage.

The Southern Division is set to field six teams divided into two groups. Group A will feature Friends United FC, Lami Rangers FC, and Narere Buses Combine FC, while Group B will consist of Combine Verata FC, League FC, and Police FC. Group leaders will qualify directly for the finals, while the second-placed teams will compete for the final available spot.

The Western Division’s competition will witness four teams—4R FC from Ba, Ray United FC from Lautoka, Army FC from Nadi, and Downtown FC from Nadroga—engaged in a round-robin format from December 4 to 7 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba. The two top teams from this division will advance to the playoffs, which are scheduled for December 11 to 14, although the venue has yet to be confirmed.

This championship promises not only to be a thrilling display of talent but also a platform for local clubs to showcase their skills and foster community spirit. The upcoming matches are expected to be filled with competitive energy, skillful play, and passionate audiences rallying behind their favorite teams. As the tournament draws closer, football fans across Fiji can look forward to an engaging mix of sport and community pride that reflects the deep-rooted love for football in the region.
