Week 12 NFL Injury Updates: Quarterbacks Questionable Ahead of Sunday Games

Injuries are an unfortunate aspect of the NFL, impacting teams and players alike as they strive for success on the field. This week, quarterback health has taken center stage ahead of the games, with notable injuries affecting key players across the league.

Aaron Rodgers finds himself listed as questionable due to a fracture in his left (non-throwing) wrist. The New York Jets quarterback missed practice earlier in the week but returned as a limited participant, expressing hope to play in Week 12. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is also in question as he battles turf toe. After fully participating in practices earlier this week, he was limited on Friday, causing uncertainty regarding his readiness.

In addition to the quarterbacks, several teams released their final injury reports as they prepare for the Sunday matchups, alongside the initial updates for the “Monday Night Football” game featuring the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers.

The Indianapolis Colts have ruled out linebacker Jaylon Carlies (ankle), despite him practicing all week. Cornerback Charvarius Ward (concussion) is listed as questionable following a full week of practice. The Kansas City Chiefs will be without running back Isiah Pacheco (knee), as he was ruled out even after practicing for the week. Both offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia (concussion) and wide receiver Xavier Worthy (ankle) are also questionable.

In Minnesota, the Vikings report only two players as questionable: edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (shoulder) and center Ryan Kelly (concussion), both of whom have been working through their injuries. The Green Bay Packers ruled out corner Nate Hobbs (knee) and wide receiver Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder), while several players, including defensive tackle Karl Brooks (ankle) and wide receiver Savion Williams (foot), are all considered questionable after limited participation throughout the week.

Other teams reporting critical injuries include the Chicago Bears, who ruled out five players including linebackers T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks will be without wide receiver Tory Horton and linebacker Tyrice Knight, both ruled out after failing to practice all week.

The Baltimore Ravens have also ruled out wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle) and corner Keyon Martin (rib), adding to the challenges they face this week. The Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, only have two questionable players on their list, showing a relatively healthier squad.

Hope remains for teams and fans alike as players recover and look to make impactful returns. As the season progress, the resilience and determination shown by athletes will be crucial in overcoming injuries and transforming setbacks into comebacks on the football field. The NFL is full of unexpected twists, and every week brings the potential for heroes and dramatic moments.
