Newly released dashcam footage, obtained by the US Sun, reveals a dramatic high-speed collision involving former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, which occurred in July 2025. The footage shows McMahon’s luxury Bentley Continental GT Speed swerving through traffic at over 100 mph before rear-ending a BMW driven by Barbara Doran on the morning of July 24.
The incident took place on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) in Westport, Connecticut. As the video captures, McMahon’s vehicle collided with Doran’s car, sending debris scattering and causing the Bentley to crash into a guardrail. A state trooper arrived at the scene to find McMahon seemingly dazed and refusing medical assistance. During their exchange, the officer pointed out McMahon’s excessive speed, stating, “You almost hit I think 115 miles an hour.”
McMahon, who attributed the accident to unfamiliarity with his car, explained he was on his way to celebrate his granddaughter’s birthday. He was heard expressing frustration with himself after the crash, reflecting on the incident as unfortunate and bewildering.
Doran later recounted her own perspective of the crash, describing her vehicle being propelled over 100 yards as McMahon hit her at speeds between 80-90 mph. She noted the perilous circumstances, emphasizing that a direct hit could have led to a much more severe outcome.
Interestingly, Doran pointed out a coincidence regarding the timing of the crash, as it occurred around the same time as the passing of WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who was pivotal in McMahon’s rise to fame.
In the aftermath of the collision, McMahon faced charges for reckless driving and following too closely. In October 2025, a judge permitted him to enter a pretrial program that included a $1,000 charitable contribution and a requirement to maintain proper licensing and insurance for one year in order to have the charges dismissed.
McMahon’s attorney, Mark Sherman, expressed relief over the judge’s decision, stating that not every car accident constitutes a crime and that McMahon’s case deserved the judge’s understanding.
