Indie filmmaker and screenwriter Jeff Baena has tragically passed away at the age of 47. His death was confirmed by representatives for his wife, Aubrey Plaza, a beloved star known for her role in “Parks and Recreation,” and was reported by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as a suicide.
Baena was acclaimed for his creative talents, particularly his 2014 comedy “Life After Beth,” which featured Plaza in a leading role. Additionally, he co-wrote the 2004 film “I Heart Huckabees” and most recently worked on Showtime’s “Cinema Toast” in 2021.
