Tomorrowland, one of the leading electronic dance music (EDM) festivals worldwide, is set to unveil its first full-scale Asian edition in Thailand this December. This highly anticipated event will take place in the lively beach destination of Pattaya from December 11 to 13, underscoring Thailand’s rising status in music, innovation, and tourism centered around experiences.

Established two decades ago by Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland has become synonymous with the global EDM scene, known for its creative staging and vibrant celebratory atmosphere. The inaugural Thai edition expects to draw over 50,000 music fans daily, highlighting the event’s immense popularity.

Ticket pre-registration begins on January 8, offering a “full madness pass” for all three days priced at 12,500 baht (approximately $400 or £300). For those wishing to attend a single day, tickets will be available for 5,100 baht. Further details regarding the festival’s theme and artist lineup are anticipated shortly.

Although Tomorrowland has previously organized events in various Asian cities, this marks the first complete festival experience in Asia that mirrors the scale of its flagship event in Belgium. Thailand has secured a five-year contract to host Tomorrowland, with an estimated economic impact of 21 billion baht (around $673 million or £497 million) during this period.

Bruno Vanwelsenaers, CEO of Tomorrowland, expressed excitement about the festival’s expansion to a new continent, viewing it as a significant milestone and the start of an encouraging long-term journey. Thailand’s growing presence in the live music industry is noteworthy, having hosted major international festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields last year, in addition to being a stop on K-pop sensation Blackpink’s world tour.

As homegrown music and arts festival Wonderfruit gains traction, Thailand continues to establish itself as a vibrant destination on the global festival circuit, offering attendees a unique blend of music, culture, and unforgettable experiences. This initiative not only elevates Thailand’s cultural scene but also boosts its economy, promising a bright future for live entertainment in the region.
