Tom Cruise recently expressed his excitement for Glen Powell’s upcoming film, The Running Man, during a screening event held on Thursday, November 6. The 63-year-old star of the Mission: Impossible franchise took to Instagram to share a joyful post featuring himself, Powell, and members of the movie’s cast and crew, celebrating the film’s premiere.

In his post, Cruise shared a lively photo of himself and Powell, both holding matching popcorn boxes adorned with the film’s title, displaying their camaraderie. The second image featured Cruise alongside more cast members, including Coleman Domingo, Lee Pace, and Emilia Jones, as well as director Edgar Wright, all posing together in a theater while enthusiastically showcasing their popcorn buckets. “Another great night out with my friends at the movies! You guys crushed it, congratulations! I laughed, was on the edge of my seat and ate way too much popcorn,” he captioned the images delightfully.

This event marks another instance of Cruise supporting Powell’s endeavors, having attended the London premiere of Powell’s film Twisters earlier this year, where Powell shared a playful photo with Cruise captioned with a nod to their bond as co-stars.

Both actors became widely recognized through their collaboration in 2022’s highly successful Top Gun: Maverick, which grossed nearly $1.5 billion worldwide and solidified its status as the fifth-highest-grossing film in U.S. history. Cruise reprised his iconic role as Navy officer Pete Mitchell, while Powell made a significant impact as Lt. Jake “Hangman” Seresin.

Rumors of a third installment in the Top Gun franchise have circulated following the success of Maverick. Powell, during a recent panel at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, remarked on the potential sequel, indicating that discussions are ongoing but ultimately depend on Cruise and the producers.

The Running Man is set to be released in theaters on November 14, promising a thrilling cinematic experience. With the ongoing collaboration and support between Cruise and Powell, fans are hopeful for exciting future projects from this dynamic duo.
