The Tennessee Titans are set to interview Adam Stenavich, the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, for their own offensive coordinator position. This meeting is scheduled for Monday and was reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. While the Packers could block this interview since it represents a lateral move, head coach Matt LaFleur is known for fostering growth within the coaching community and may not exercise that option.

LaFleur himself benefited from a similar opportunity; he was allowed to leave his non-play-calling role with the Los Angeles Rams to take on play-calling responsibilities with the Titans. This gesture of goodwill appears to be a pattern, as last year LaFleur permitted Stenavich to interview for a play-calling position with the Seattle Seahawks. Ultimately, that role was filled by Klint Kubiak.

In the event that Stenavich departs, the Packers would likely consider several internal candidates to fill the void. One prominent option is Nathaniel Hackett, who served as LaFleur’s offensive coordinator in 2019 and is currently working as a defensive analyst for the Packers. Hackett’s coaching contract with the Denver Broncos, which he signed for four years in 2022, remains in effect despite his dismissal after a single season, suggesting he would continue to receive compensation until 2026.

Additionally, Luke Getsy, who was previously a defensive consultant and is now a senior assistant with the Packers, could be a candidate. Getsy was initially LaFleur’s favorite to replace Hackett in 2022 before he took a position as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, and more recently with the Las Vegas Raiders.

As the Titans prepare for the potential hiring of Stenavich, it’s clear that Hackett and Getsy are closely monitoring the situation, each likely eager for an opportunity to step into an offensive coordinator role with the Packers. Currently, Stenavich holds the distinction of being the longest-tenured offensive coordinator in the NFL, heading into the 2025 season. This transition period could promise exciting developments for both the Titans and the Packers, showcasing the dynamic and evolving landscape of NFL coaching.
