The Houston Texans welcomed back key players at practice on Wednesday, providing a boost ahead of their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Cornerback Derek Stingley, the current AFC Defensive Player of the Week, returned to the field after missing practice on Tuesday due to an oblique injury. Notably, Stingley has not missed any games this season, showcasing his resilience and commitment.

Safety Kamari Lassiter also made a limited return to practice after dealing with foot and knee issues. Like Stingley, Lassiter has been a consistent presence, starting all 15 games this season.

Several other players participated in a limited capacity, including linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (ankle, knee), defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (knee), and defensive end Dylan Horton (hip). Meanwhile, linebacker Jake Hansen (chest), linebacker Jamal Hill (calf, wrist), right tackle Trent Brown (ankle, knee), left tackle Aireontae Ersery (thumb), and defensive lineman Denico Autry (knee) were unable to practice on Wednesday.

On a more positive note, running back Woody Marks (ankle), cornerback Ajani Carter (hamstring), long snapper Austin Brinkman (knee), defensive lineman Darrell Taylor (ankle), wide receiver Justin Watson (calf), and tight end Dalton Schultz (knee) all participated fully in practice, adding depth and strength to the squad.

The Texans are set to provide injury designations for Saturday’s game against the Chargers on Thursday, which may impact their game strategy as they aim to maintain their competitive edge. With key players returning to practice, the Texans are hopeful they can carry their momentum into the weekend.
