The Fiji Airways national men’s sevens team has bolstered its roster with the addition of Waisake Tewa and Akuila Dranivotua, following their standout performances at the recently concluded Coral Coast Sevens. Their impressive showings have earned them spots in the extended national 7s squad.

Waisake Tewa, who represented Fiji as the sole track athlete in the 2023 Olympic Games, showcased his exceptional speed and athleticism while playing for the Dominion Brothers during the Coral Coast Sevens. His seamless transition back into high-performance rugby was evident, capturing the attention of selectors.

Alongside Tewa, Akuila Dranivotua’s notable contributions for the Police Rugby Club further solidified his place in the squad. His strong, consistent performances, particularly during the Coral Coast tournament, testified to his readiness for the national stage.
