Terry Bradshaw, the renowned NFL analyst and former Steelers quarterback, will be absent from today’s NFL on FOX show due to an illness. The 77-year-old star was not present on air for the Week 11 broadcast of the 2025 regular season, with Curt Menefee, Howie Long, and Michael Strahan stepping in to lead the program.
Bradshaw took to social media to update fans on his condition, reassuring them that he is merely dealing with a cold and is otherwise well. He posted on Instagram, “Just in case you notice, won’t be on Fox today. Just have a cold. All good.”
This recent illness comes on the heels of Bradshaw’s battles with several serious health issues in past years. However, the current situation appears to be relatively minor, something that is certainly a relief given the potential seriousness of illnesses for individuals in their late 70s. Taking time off to recuperate is a prudent choice for Bradshaw, who has expressed a commitment to maintaining his health.
Over the years, Bradshaw has been open about his desire to prioritize his health, especially for the sake of his family. In 2018, he stated, “I’ve got grandkids, I don’t wanna have pneumococcal pneumonia knock me down.” His commitment to seeing his doctor regularly underscores his dedication to being there for his loved ones and fulfilling his personal goals, including a bucket list filled with aspirations.
Bradshaw has also made it clear that he wishes to continue his career for as long as possible. He humorously remarked, “I told Fox: ‘If I could just die on the show, think about the ratings, right?” reflecting his passion for broadcasting and his enduring connection with the audience.
As fans and colleagues hope for his swift recovery, the NFL community looks forward to seeing Bradshaw back on air, sharing his insights and charisma once again. Get well soon, Terry!
