Fans of “Kill Bill” can rejoice as Lionsgate has officially unveiled the trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s “The Whole Bloody Affair.” This much-anticipated theatrical release features an impressive four-hour cut, running 281 minutes with a 15-minute intermission, merging both “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2” into one cinematic experience. After being kept under wraps for years, this marks the first time audiences will be able to see this extended version on the big screen.

Scheduled to hit theaters on December 5, “The Whole Bloody Affair” will be made available in major markets across North America. The distribution plan also includes specialized screenings in 35mm and 70mm formats, likely featuring newly struck prints for this special release. Previously, a limited run of the film at the Tarantino-owned Vista Theater in Los Angeles showcased his personal print from the film’s Cannes premiere in 2006, complete with French subtitles and an intermission dividing the two segments of the story.

Originally crafted as a single film, “Kill Bill” was split into two parts to accommodate its lengthy runtime, releasing in October 2003 and April 2004, respectively. The films collectively earned over $330 million worldwide. Tarantino first premiered “The Whole Bloody Affair” at Cannes two years later, only for it to remain mostly unseen until a brief showing in 2011 at his New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, followed by another vaulting before its recent limited run in July.

The excitement surrounds this release not only for the extended viewing experience but also for the chance to witness Tarantino’s distinctive storytelling on the big screen once again. The blend of artistry, action, and narrative depth promises to captivate both long-time fans and newcomers alike. A trailer for “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” is now available for viewing, fueling anticipation for this remarkable cinematic event.
