The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has appointed Apisalome Tamani as the Acting Chief Executive, effective February 4, 2026. Tamani, who currently serves as the Deputy Government Statistician, will lead the Bureau until a permanent successor is found.

He steps into the role following the commendable tenure of Kemueli Naiqama, who has been acknowledged for his exceptional leadership and contributions. The Bureau extends its best wishes to Naiqama as he assumes his new position as Fiji’s Ambassador to Japan.

With Tamani at the helm, the Fiji Bureau of Statistics is confident that his leadership will drive further improvements in the nation’s statistical infrastructure. This transition marks a hopeful chapter for the Bureau, as it continues to strive for excellence in data service delivery for the country.
