Kavaia Tagivetaua is set to make his debut in Super Rugby Pacific as he has been named on the bench for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua by head coach Glen Jackson for their second round of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

The young hooker headlines a restructured match day squad that sees seven changes to the starting lineup as the Drua aim to bounce back from their season opener. Jackson has decided to keep the same front row from the first match, focusing on maintaining continuity within the scrums and set pieces.

In the forwards, flankers Joseva Tamani and Motikiai Murray have been brought into the starting team, with Elia Canakaivata continuing in the number eight position. The half-back duo features Frank Lomani making his first start of the season at scrum half, paired with Isaiah Armstrong Ravula.

On the wings, Taniela Rakuro takes one spot, while Isikeli Rabitu and Tuidraki Samusamuvodre unite in the midfield. Ponipate Loganimasi will line up on the other wing, and Ilaisa Droasese has been named at fullback.

Jackson expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming clash, stating that the squad is eager to board the plane and channel their frustrations against a rivalry-laden team. He noted the competitive history between the Drua and the Waratahs, emphasizing the intensity that both teams bring into their matches.

The Drua will go head-to-head with the Waratahs this Friday at 8:35 PM, and fans can catch the live action on FBC Sports. The anticipation for this encounter is palpable, as both teams gear up to deliver an exciting spectacle.
