Survivor Series WarGames 2025: The Stars Left Off the Card

Survivor Series WarGames 2025: The Stars Left Off the Card

The much-anticipated final Premium Live Event (PLE) of 2025, Survivor Series: WarGames, is just days away, and WWE is ramping up its preparations. With a star-studded card curated by WWE CCO Triple H, the event will feature some of the biggest names in wrestling, along with emerging talents. However, several established stars have not found their way onto the card, raising questions about their current creative directions.

Among those overlooked is Lyra Valkyria, who recently made waves at the start of the year with notable matches against Becky Lynch and her run as a dual champion holding both the Women’s Intercontinental and Women’s Tag Team titles. After losing those titles, Valkyria’s presence on programming has dimmed significantly, with her prolonged storyline involving Bayley losing steam and failing to capture viewer interest. Valkyria’s absence from the women’s WarGames match has fans questioning her future in WWE.

Another notable omission is Giulia, the former NXT Women’s Champion who shone brightly upon her arrival in WWE but has since seen her momentum wane. Although she enjoyed a brief reign as the Women’s United States Champion, her title run lacked substantial matches and storylines, leaving her with limited airtime during a period when fans were eager to see more from her.

Bayley, the first female Grand Slam Champion in WWE history, also finds herself in a similar predicament. Despite her impressive accolades, WWE’s creative team has seemingly sidelined her. Bayley was involved in an intriguing split persona storyline aimed at a potential heel turn, but that plot has stalled. She missed out on significant events including WrestleMania and is absent from the upcoming WarGames match, with her recent appearances remaining minimal.

Meanwhile, LA Knight, billed as ‘The Megastar,’ was initially slated to participate in the men’s WarGames match but has not been included. Speculation suggests his absence may stem from his recent fan interactions during a live broadcast, which some believe could have led to internal pushback. Despite his popularity and burgeoning reputation, Knight has yet to capture more titles in WWE beyond the US Championship and continues to have a dedicated fanbase advocating for his increased prominence.

Survivor Series 2025 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 29, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The event will feature significant matches, including men’s and women’s WarGames matches as well as title defenses from superstars such as John Cena and Stephanie Vaquer. While the excitement builds for Survivior Series, fans are left hoping to see their favorite overlooked superstars back in action soon, potentially leading to fresh storylines and captivating rivalries in the future.
