SpaceX Falcon 9 Sets Florida Launch Record with 100th Flight of 2025

A Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on November 20, 2025, at 10:39 p.m. EST, marking an impressive milestone for SpaceX. This launch was notable not only for carrying 29 Starlink internet satellites into orbit but also for being the 100th rocket launch from Florida this year, a record that has never been achieved before.

Approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first stage made a successful return, landing on SpaceX’s droneship, “Just Read the Instructions,” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This particular booster, designated as 1080, has now completed its 23rd flight. Meanwhile, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 continued its journey, with the satellites expected to be deployed into low Earth orbit around 65 minutes post-launch.

SpaceX has dominated the rocket launch scene from the Space Coast, which houses both Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. As of this launch, Elon Musk’s company has completed a total of 149 Falcon 9 missions in 2025, with more than 90 of those launches occurring in Florida. This number significantly surpasses the previous record of 132 launches set in 2024.

This continuous achievement illustrates not only the remarkable capabilities of SpaceX but also the increasing pace of space exploration and commercial satellite deployment. With the upcoming launches planned, the future of satellite internet and space travel looks more promising than ever.
