The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to enhance their wide receiver unit, and they have a standout candidate on their radar. Cam Coleman, a wide receiver from Auburn, is set to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2, according to a report by Hayes Fawcett of On3.

During his tenure with the Tigers, Coleman amassed impressive statistics, recording 93 receptions for 1,306 yards and 14 touchdowns over two seasons. In the 2025 season alone, he accounted for 56 receptions totaling 706 yards and five touchdowns, contributing significantly to 30% of Auburn’s passing offense and 45% of its passing touchdowns. His production is particularly notable given the challenges faced by Auburn’s quarterbacks in effectively utilizing their top offensive players.

Coleman further showcased his abilities earlier in the season, notably being the only wide receiver to pose a significant challenge to star freshman All-American Courtland Guillory during Week 4. At 6-foot-3 and weighing 197 pounds, Coleman combines the ideal blend of size, speed, and exceptional route-running skills, making him a versatile threat at all levels of the passing game.

With Coleman’s impending move to the transfer market, he is poised to be the top wide receiver available, potentially the most sought-after player this offseason. The Sooners may face stiff competition from other teams eager to secure the services of what could be a future first-round pick in the NFL Draft.

Regardless of Isaiah Sategna’s decision on entering the draft, adding Coleman could significantly enhance Oklahoma’s offense. As a dynamic receiver, Coleman would not only serve as the primary target but would also create additional opportunities for other wide receivers, including Sategna, who typically plays in the slot. His ability to attract the attention of second-level defenders would open up the field, leading to a more potent passing attack for the Sooners.

As the Sooners look ahead, the addition of Coleman could prove to be a game-changer in their offensive strategy, setting them up for greater success in the upcoming season.
