Seth Rollins is optimistic about his recovery from a rotator cuff tear, which he sustained last October. Speaking on ESPN’s First Take to promote the upcoming Elimination Chamber event, the WWE superstar revealed that he has made significant progress in his rehabilitation.
Rollins conveyed his enthusiasm, stating, “No, I will not be able to do anything this weekend, but we’re getting close. Look, I can move it around. It’s not in a sling anymore; it’s feeling good.” He noted that he underwent surgery in October and has been steadily improving since then.
In a follow-up interview on ESPN’s Get Up, Rollins expressed a strong desire to return to the ring for WrestleMania, set to take place in Las Vegas. However, he also acknowledged the uncertainty of his timeline, saying, “I wish I had a solid answer for you, but I’m going to have to plead the fifth on that one. I don’t know, at the end of the day, I don’t make the decisions. I want to be back by WrestleMania, but it’s not up to me. It’s up to the doctors.”
Rollins suffered his injury while attempting a diving headbutt during a match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel Perth, which ultimately led to him vacating the World Heavyweight Championship and leaving The Vision faction. He was the first of the group to face an injury setback, while fellow members Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have also experienced injuries recently.
As Rollins continues to recover, his hopeful outlook provides fans with anticipation for his potential return to the ring, especially with WrestleMania approaching. The wrestling community eagerly awaits news of his clearance from doctors, with hopes of seeing him back in action soon.
