The SCAD TVfest is set to return for its 14th edition from February 4-6 in Atlanta, showcasing an impressive lineup of both scripted and unscripted television series. The festival will celebrate the vibrant and evolving landscape of television, highlighting new and returning programs that have captivated audiences.

Christina Routhier, the senior executive director of SCAD Theaters and Festivals, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “We are truly living in a golden era of television — one where the bar continues to rise and storytelling grows bolder and more ambitious every year.” SCAD TVfest will feature culturally significant shows such as “Bridgerton,” “Abbott Elementary,” and “The Pitt,” alongside returning favorites like “Scrubs” and “The Comeback,” as well as reality hits including “Survivor” and “The Great American Baking Show.”

The festival will include panels and discussions with renowned series such as “Rick and Morty,” “Deli Boys,” “56 Days,” “For All Mankind,” and others, providing SCAD students a unique opportunity to learn directly from industry veterans.

Among the honors presented during the event, Quinta Brunson will be awarded Variety’s Creative Showrunner Award, marking her as the first actor to receive this recognition for her work on “Abbott Elementary.” Brunson previously made history by being the first Black woman to win an Emmy for comedy writing and continues to break barriers in the industry.

“Bridgerton” will receive the Outstanding Achievement in a Series Award, accepted by cast members Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh. Additionally, attendees will get a sneak peek at “Survivor” Season 50 while host Jeff Probst will be recognized with the Legend of Television award. “Cross” star Aldis Hodge will be honored with the Luminary Award, while Lili Reinhart will receive the Spotlight Award for her roles in various acclaimed series.

“Scrubs,” which is set for a return with its 10th season, will be honored with the Cast Award, encapsulating over a decade of influence in comedy television. The Impact Award will also be given to the Emmy-winning series “The Pitt,” acknowledging its exceptional contribution to the television landscape.

Paula Wallace, SCAD president and founder, stated, “TV lovers, prepare to swoon! At this year’s SCAD TVfest, [the SCAD] Bees bask in the limelight alongside the industry’s brightest stars.” This year’s festival promises to not only celebrate outstanding achievements but also inspire the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers who are ready to make their mark in the industry.
