A burglary occurred on Monday night at the Southern California home of WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu and her husband, former NFL offensive lineman Hroniss Grasu, as confirmed by authorities. The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. PT, when two suspects broke into their residence through a rear glass door. The burglars ransacked the home and made off with approximately $60,000 worth of handbags before fleeing the scene in an unknown vehicle.

Both Ionescu and Grasu were not present during the break-in, and law enforcement has not yet made any arrests as the investigation remains ongoing. The suspects were reportedly wearing ski masks at the time of the crime.

Ionescu, the first overall pick in the 2020 WNBA draft, has established herself as one of the league’s premier players, earning four All-Star selections and winning a championship in her six seasons. Grasu, who stands 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 300 pounds, played in the NFL from 2015 until 2023 after being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round.

The couple, who both attended the University of Oregon, went public with their relationship in 2021 and celebrated their wedding in 2024. Despite this unsettling event, their strong bond and successful careers shine through, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.
