Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series, “The Beauty,” starring Evan Peters, is set to premiere in late January, promising his signature style filled with striking visuals and a heavy dose of camp. Peters, known for his Golden Globe-winning role in “Dahmer,” takes on the character of an FBI agent, partnering with Rebecca Hall, to investigate a troubling pattern of mysterious deaths among international supermodels in Paris.
The official synopsis reveals a fascinating premise: the agents stumble upon a “sexually transmitted virus” that grants individuals unattainable physical perfection but with horrifying side effects. Their investigation leads them to a reclusive tech billionaire, identified only as “The Corporation,” played by Ashton Kutcher. He is behind the production of a miracle drug called “The Beauty,” which adds layers of intrigue as the agents race against time to prevent the virus from spreading while The Corporation aims to distribute his lucrative product worldwide.
The series also features a diverse cast, including Anthony Ramos as an assassin aligned with The Corporation, and Jeremy Pope portraying a desperate outsider who becomes ensnared in the chaos unleashed by this dangerous new creation.
The first trailer gives viewers a glimpse of “The Beauty” and showcases its many guest stars, including Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Ben Platt, Jessica Alexander, and Vincent D’Onofrio. It opens with a witty exchange between Kutcher and Rossellini on a yacht, setting the tone for the lavish yet unsettling narrative that unfolds as the series explores the implications of beauty standards and societal obsession.
The first three episodes of “The Beauty,” co-written and co-created by Matthew Hodgson, are scheduled to air on FX and Hulu on January 21, 2026. Hall, recently seen in “Peter Hujar’s Day,” is also anticipated to star in the fourth installment of Murphy’s “Monster” series, which will delve into the infamous case of Lizzie Borden.
With its thrilling premise and an impressive lineup of talent, “The Beauty” is poised to captivate audiences and spark conversations about beauty, fame, and morality.
